The Revolutionary War with Historian John Maass and Hanover Tavern

Dr. Maass will speak on his recent book "The Road to Yorktown: Jefferson, Lafayette, and the British Invasion of Virginia.

Historian and author Dr. John Maass will kick off a series of Revolutionary War Bus Tours with a talk on his new book The Road to Yorktown: Jefferson, Lafayette and the British Invasion of Virginia on April 21, 2017. 
Dr. John Maass is a historian at the U.S. Army Center of Military History, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C. He received a BA in history from Washington & Lee University, an MA in U.S. history from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a PhD in early U.S. history from the Ohio State University. He was an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1987 to 1992.
He is the author of The Road to Yorktown: Jefferson, Lafayette and the British Invasion of Virginia (The History Press); North Carolina and the French and Indian War: The Spreading Flames of War (The History Press); and Defending a New Nation, 1783-1811 (U.S. Army Center of Military History).
