Lorie and Brad Lower moved to Ashland in 2018 and opened the doors to Yoga on Center in October of the same year. Located at 403 S. Center Street, the building is a combination home and studio and sits a mere 25 feet from the train tracks.
It’s as quirky as any other house in Ashland!
Yoga on Center's airy, bright, and welcoming space hosts a variety of yoga classes from Gentle Vinyasa to traditional Vinyasa Flow, Yin, private classes, and even Pilates.
Lorie began practicing yoga in the early 2000s and became a certified instructor in 2013. She discovered her passion in the union of yoga and teaching, and loves calling Ashland home, as well as being part of the downtown business community.
“Ashland has been very welcoming to us and supportive of the studio,” said Lorie. “Friendly waves from pedestrians during classes, the people and dogs that pop in to say how much they love the studio being here, and the constant question of ‘Does the train bother you?!’ make me feel accepted and welcomed.
Lorie added, "Thank you, Ashland, for allowing this studio to serve your community with love!”
Yoga on Center aims to serve all levels of students and is rich in community fellowship.
