Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on what qualities and characteristics you'd like to see in Ashland's next Chief of Police.
The public input survey, which is now closed, ran from March 2nd-23rd, 2022, and was shared on our website, social media, and in our newsletter. Results from that survey can be seen in the graphic below.
The results of this survey have been shared with the Chief of Police Hiring Advisory Committee, the members of which were selected by Town Manager Josh Farrar based on their awareness and support of the Ashland Police Department's unique and innovative approach to community policing and public safety, and familiarity with the needs, desires, and challenges of all facets of this community.
The hiring advisory committee (members listed below) will take the survey results into consideration throughout the interview process as they assist the Town Manager in making a decision, and prioritize their hiring recommendations based on these characteristics identified as important to the community. We look forward to sharing more information on the hiring of Ashland's next Chief of Police soon, and thank you, once again, for participating in this important community process!
